FEAR

Fears Can Be Unlearned

The fear of failure is learned, usually in early childhood, as a result of destructive criticism from parents and siblings. But because it is learned, it can also be unlearned and replaced with the habit of courage.

Remember that FEAR stands for False Experiences Appearing Real. The fear of failure is not based on reality, but on imagination.

Fear is a belief, and as William James of Harvard said, “Belief creates the actual fact.” Ralph Waldo Emerson gave us the antidote to fear. He said, “Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain.” If you do the thing you fear, over and over again, eventually it loses all of its power.
